An Overview of the Wild Wolf X50 Folding Knife
WHAT IS THE WILD WOLF X50?
This blog post will be an overview of the Wild Wolf X50 survival tactical camping fishing folding hunting knife. Please note that this is NOT available in Canada and only available in the United States. The knife itself is a 3.3 inch long titanized stainless steel blade with a quick and secure opening/locking mechanism. On top of this, it has two additional features: a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker for emergency situations.
WHAT ABOUT THE DURABILITY OF THE KNIFE?
Much like our other knife, the X42, this knife is made of titanized stainless steel. Due to this the blade is able to hold its edge and not suffering from the effects of weathering and corrosion like other materials would. This is extremely important for an outdoor knife where you need to know it will perform under a variety of conditions and tasks. For example its more resistant to the effects of rain, dirt, and cutting into various materials. Additionally, the blade is locked securely into place, so the blade will not snap off during use.
IS IT EASY TO USE?
This blade is very quick and easy to use. It has a little knob at the top of the handle, opposite of where the blade swings from. This lowers the chance of accidental opening compared to a centrifugal force or button activated blade. Additionally, the handle is very ergonomic so the actual use of the knife is very easy and safe due to the firm grip you can get on the blade. Furthermore, there is little maintenance that needs to be done to keep the blade sharp due to its stainless steel material.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Some smaller, but still valuable additions are the belt clip, seatbelt cutter, and glass breaker. The belt clip makes it readily accessible and easy to carry around. This is very useful in a pinch situation or when you’re trying to travel light. On top of this the seatbelt cutter and glass breaker being in such a small device makes it very convenient to grab and use in the emergency situations you would require it. Other seatbelt cutters may be very awkward to grab, and not storable close to you due to their size. In these situations every second counts.
